Terrible customer service

Posted by Realdeal on 9/7/2009

long drive to get there from Fairfield on my birthday. What a disappontment! The service was absolutely horrible. I've been to a lot of places and this is the worst I've been treated in a long time. Their staff certainly could use some customer service training. Rosines is permanently off my list, but I'm sure they don't care.

Local's Favorite Restaurant

The food at this place rocks. I have never had a bad meal and my family and I eat here at least 2-3 times a month. Their homemade soups are always good and I love their salads and sandwiches. REAL turkey and roast beef! Always great and consistent.

Rosine's is our favorite!

We are locals and eat at Rosine's probably 2-3 times a month. This place is always packed and the servers are friendly. Our favs are the brunch specials they have on the weekends with a mimosa or for lunch I like the salads and my dh orders a burger or a sandwich. We just ate dinner there recently and their teriyaki steak with mushrooms was the best I have ever had. The broccoli had a topping on it that even my son would eat. The kids menu was nice because it kept my son and daughter happily coloring. We shared a piece of cake, omg!

Rosines

OH my goodness, you must go to Rosines and eat the cake! There is no better dessert on the peninsula. Rosines is awesome.

Over-rated and misleading

The website claimed the restaurant was award winning; apparently, this award was just for their cakes which were as not moist as an award winner should be. The cakes must be judged solely on size. Calamari was ordered for starters and when it arrived, I thought the waitress had mistaken us for another table. The calamari looked like chicken strips: thick cut like a steak fry and coated in a heavy, seasoned breadcrumb breading. I'm lucky I'm CPR certified. I ordered the angel hair pasta with basil and tomatoes. It was greasy and tasteless (they could have at least cooked the pasta with some chicken broth) with a congealed slab of grated cheese on top and near complete absence of basil. The prices were over the top for the quality of food. I've left restaurants disappointed but never near angry before.
